Quietly but consistently, Chief Adebukola Oso has been shaping conversations that connect law, research, and enterprise to tangible results for women in agriculture. Her leadership through the AfriWomen for Entrepreneurship Initiative continues to demonstrate how evidence-driven policy and grassroots engagement can foster inclusive agricultural growth.

On 3 October 2025, Chief Adebukola Oso, Founder and Project Lead of AfriWomen, formally presented the AfriWomen–Kajola Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project to the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, and his technical team, at the invitation of the Oyo State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The session, marked by robust technical engagement and warm reception, concluded with the Ministry’s formal acceptance of the proposal. An endorsement letter and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) are now underway — a milestone that strengthens collaboration ahead of the project’s 2026 rollout.

The meeting reaffirmed AfriWomen’s alignment with the agricultural transformation vision of Governor Seyi Makinde, which prioritises smallholder empowerment, youth participation, and sustainable rural development.
Chief Oso, whose quiet leadership harmonises law, research, and agribusiness practice, described the project as:
“A bridge between vision and reality — creating systems where women smallholders can grow, process, and profit within a transparent and sustainable framework.”
Grounded in her PhD research on the legislative frameworks for women’s empowerment in agribusiness, Chief Oso’s approach blends intellectual rigour with practical innovation, positioning her among the quiet thought leaders shaping women’s roles in Nigeria’s agribusiness ecosystem.

The AfriWomen–Kajola Project will pilot integrated agribusiness clusters for women and youth in rural communities, focusing on soya, maize, cassava, livestock, and poultry value addition. It seeks to advance SDGs 2, 5, and 8 through inclusive production, value addition, and market access.
AfriWomen commends Commissioner Olaleye and the Ministry’s technical team for their partnership and shared commitment to transforming smallholder agriculture in Oyo State under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.
