The AfriWomen has completed the registration processes of its multipurpose cooperative society with the Oyo State Ministry of Trade Industry & Cooperative.
Having met the entire requirements put in place by the state Cooperative agency, Afriwomen was issued a certificate of registration alongside some documents to ensure a smooth running of its cooperative society.
The Certificate was received by the treasurer of the AfriWomen Cooperative, Mrs. Elizabeth Olawuyi, on behalf of the cooperative members.
According to the Founder of AfriWomen, Mrs. Adebukola Oso, the registration of the Cooperative society arm of the NGO was informed by the need to have official certifications and endorsement needed to give its members greater access to innovative financial solutions.
While handing over the necessary documents for the certification processes of the AfriWomen Cooperative Society to Mrs Oso in April, the state Director for Cooperatives, Mrs. Medinat Adedeji urged the Afriwomen founder to ensure that the NGO’s cooperative is being run in line with the global rules and regulations that guide the day-to-day managements of cooperative societies.
