On the 29th of August, 2024, Mrs. Adebukola Oso, the CEO of AfriWomen, visited the SMEDAN office in Ibadan to discuss potential avenues of support for women entrepreneurs under the AfriWomen initiative. During the visit, Mrs. Oso met with Mrs. Ojogbede Iyabo Mabel, the Oyo State SMEDAN Manager, to explore how SMEDAN’s programs and resources could assist AfriWomen’s beneficiaries.
The conversation centered around identifying ways AfriWomen and SMEDAN can collaborate and provide practical support to women-led MSMEs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve sustainable growth. Mrs. Oso highlighted the need for accessible resources, training, and financial opportunities to empower these entrepreneurs in the competitive market landscape.
