AfriWomen for Entrepreneurship Initiative a foremost NGO situated in Ibadan opens a new adult literacy centre.
The Centre in Olorunda community of Lagelu LGA will serve as one of the annexes to the main centre in Bodija.
The new Centre is located within the palace of the kabiyesi of Olorunda Oba Samuel OludeleAbiodun Folarin and it is equipped with modern teaching facilities to give students a more comprehensive understanding of the syllabus.
The founder and CEO of the AfriWomenAdebukola Oso said that the vision to alleviate poverty in Nigeria through sustainable social and economic development programmes of women informed the expansion project. The literacy School is free to all participants.
Adebukola said that since the AfriWomen started in January 2020, the NGO has impacted the lives of over 8500 women and girl child through welfare packages, 379 women and girl child through sustainable life skills programmes including literacy and vocational skills acquisition trainings.
